(USA Today) The White House is disputing a new book’s claim that President Obama has an intense dislike for Republican opponent Mitt Romney. “I can tell you that I’ve never heard the president express anything like that,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. Carney said Obama’s differences with Romney are political, not personal. He feels very strongly that Governor Romney’s policies are the wrong ones for the American economy and the American people, that we cannot afford to go back to the kinds of policies that got us into this mess. And that’s why he believes so much is at stake in this election.
